Schools - Bring your creatures to spend a night with ours!
Zoosnooz is a unique sleepover experience and a great way for your students to learn about animals and the environment.
Your students will:
- Enjoy a great BBQ dinner and supper under the stars.
- Discover wild creatures on your 'after hours' zoo walk
- Get close to amazing mammals and a whole lot of other Zoo residents with a lesson in the Education Centre
- Enjoy breakfast then go ‘Behind the Scenes' on the early morning walk
- Spend the following day in the stimulating learning environment of the Zoo
Zoosnooz is great fun and can be incorporated into any curriculum-related excursion for your students. It's also good for team building.
Bring
Your own mattress, sleeping bag, pillow, warm clothes, camera, wet weather gear if it looks like rain, plus a sense of fun and adventure.
We now have air matteresses for Teachers and supervising adults only, students will still be required to bring their own.
Please note: No shower facilities are available. Please ensure you contact our office at least 1 week prior to your visit if any students have special dietry requirements.
Cost
The cost is:
Primary students $65 each. Secondary Students $70 each.
Supervising teachers and parents are free at a ratio of 1 per 10 students. Extra adults pay $75 each. Extra adult numbers must be negotiated with Zoo Education prior to arrival. All prices include GST ($1.50 per student).
Dates
Zoosnooz is available on Monday through Thursday nights during the school term. There is a maximum of 40 students and a minimum of 15 for each programme.
