Tigers are the world’s largest living cat. They mainly hunt at night and may eat up to 40kg of meat at a time!
Hylobates moloch
Silvery Gibbons "sing" to proclaim their territory and when they take a partner they stay together for life. Wild Asia at Taronga Zoo has one of only seven breeding pairs of Silvery Gibbons in zoos around the world.
Our Silvery Gibbons can often be heard singing to each other in their new home in Wild Asia at Taronga. Regina is very smart and beautiful, but can sometimes be cranky with keepers and her mate Halimun. The pair is very close, though Halimun knows to steer clear of Regina if she is in a ‘bad mood'.
